How Can You Fix a Broken Tile?

Broken tile? Accidents happen! Fortunately, the team at Strassburger Tile Perfection has perfected its tile repair process. This means that you can have a tile repaired without ruining the look of your floor.

Generally, we deal with two types of broken tiles:

1. A tile that has become loose
2. A tile that is cracked, chipped, or broken

Loose Tile

When we fix a tile that has come loose, the first thing we do is to use a carbide bit oscillating tool to cut the grout surrounding the tile. We use this tool as it enables us to remove the broken tile without damaging any of the ones surrounding it. After the tile is removed, we smooth any remaining grout under the tile which leaves us with a smooth, flat surface to reattach the tile.

To make sure that no one knows the tile has been replaced, we can apply a 5-year warranty grout colour seal to all the grout in that room giving 100% uniformity. We have access to hundreds of grout colours and shades from all the grout manufacturers. We are able to blend the new grout to the same colour and shade as the existing floor grout.

Broken Tile

When we fix a tile that is cracked, chipped, or broken, we first find natural stone dust that matches the shade of your tile. We carry over 20 different shades of natural stone dust, which means there won’t be a problem finding one that matches. We then mix that dust with an epoxy resin, which is used to piece your broken tile back together while minimizing the appearance of crack lines.

We believe so strongly in our work that we guarantee our tile replacement for life and if someone can tell which tile was replaced, we’ll give you your money back. Contact our team for more information.
